As owner and dentist of Geneva Family Dentistry, Dr. Jonathan Markham is committed to providing excellent care to each of his patients. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from developing relationships to performing advanced dental procedures. After b...Read Moreriefly working as an engineer, he went on to attend the UAB School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While in dental school, Dr. Markham developed a desire to practice dentistry in a small town and knew that having the ability to perform a wide range of dental procedures would be necessary. In order to receive additional training in dental implants, full mouth rehab, oral surgery, root canals, and the treatment of medically compromised patients, Dr. Markham completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Markham and his wife, Sarah, opened Geneva Family Dentistry in 2012. Dr. Markham is a member of the Board of Directors of Wiregrass Medical Center. Dr. Robert Rowell grew up in Crestview, Florida and attended the University of West Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. After completion of undergraduate study, Dr. Rowell spent the next two years earning a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Robert and his wife Lindsay, who is originally from Bonifay, Florida, met through a mutual friend in 2009. They married shortly after Lindsay graduated from pharmacy school in 2011. In 2015, while in dental school, the Rowell’s welcomed their first daughter Payton. Two years later they were blessed with a baby boy, Owen. In his time away from the dental office, Dr. Rowell enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family. As a child, Robert spent much of his time hunting and fishing on family land in Bonifay. It was these times in which his passion for rural communities began. Robert and Lindsay are excited for the opportunity to join Geneva Family Dentistry.
