I attended Wayne State University and achieved Pre-Bachelors acceptance to University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. This allowed me to finish school in fewer years than normal, and start providing quality services to my community. While working in Detroit, I was able to treat an under privileged and poor community, while enhancing my skills with very difficult and medically compromised patients

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, moved to Tucson in 1991. Through the years I enjoyed working in various fields, always making people smile. Which led me to a career in dentistry. I attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 2007 as a certified dental assistant. Interned and remained working for Dr. Henry Mohr. Assisting him for 2.5 years and spent the last 3 years in the front office gaining knowledge of insurance billing and coding, while still working with patients. I continued my employment with the practice when Dr. Schumer purchased the practice upon Dr. Mohr's retirement. Renee attended Idaho State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dental Hygiene in 1983. She is a native of Arizona, born and raised in Tempe, Az. Renee moved to Tucson in 1986 following the marriage of her current husband, Steve, and his transfer within the home building industry. Michalle was born and raised in Nogales, AZ where she graduated from Nogales High School in 2009, shortly after she moved to Tucson where she began her schooling at Carrington College and graduated as a Dental Assistant. Lisette is a native Tucsonan and has been a dental assistant for over a decade. She has assisted at a few offices during her career, but has expanded her role at the current practice. She is motivated and enjoys taking on new challenges. She brings a smile to the office along with her hard work. Being highly motivated she has taken on many of the inner office responsibilities. On her time off she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and two young sons.

Kristy received a Bachelor or Arts degree from the University of Arizona in 1994, graduated from Pima Community College with an Associates Degree of Applied Science, Dental Hygiene in 2009. Kristy has been with the Schumer Dental PC since 2012. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her three children.
