Dr. Anakarina DeAngelis was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. During the summer breaks, she worked at her uncles offices who were Dentists. It was this adventure that led her to pursue her passion of serving the community of becoming a Dentist. After few months here, she met a group of Dentists who needed an Orthodontic research assistant for a private project. She joined their team and really got to enjoy our wonderful Southern California so much that she decided to get her United States DDS license to practice and stay for good. During her board studies over the next year, she met her husband Mario and they decided so get married and start a family. Dr. DeAngelis earned her American DDS degree from University of Southern California (USC) where she was honored on the Dean’s list during her years at the school. At USC she was inspired by some of her mentors to practice “Biomimetic dentistry” which is the art of reproducing natural looking teeth with the most conservative treatment to return their strength, function and esthetics. Also, she was part of Hispanic Student Dental Association, Chapter USC and volunteer and a Spanish Instructor to teach dental students how to communicate with the hispanic patients. Dr. DeAngelis is unique and well rounded, she has worked in community clinics settings with the underserved population along with a high scale practice where she is currently working part time, in La Jolla. DeAngelis Family Dentistry is her dream boutique office which has a calm environment using aromatherapy with Essential oils to relax patients. She also believes on taking Continuing Education Courses to keep updated on the newest techniques and advances. My experience throughout the years made me approach every patient based on their functional, esthetics, social and many times psychological needs. My goal is to connect with them to understands their priorities, educate them to the most of my abilities, and utilizing my dental clinical skills to enhance their smiles. Recognizing that dentistry is an important part of the medical science can be a life changing game that can benefit many people. Everyday, I am blessed and grateful to be in a career that is constantly advancing to be able to offer more compassionate, predictable and conservative treatments to improve patients lives. Ashley brings to our practice 20 years of office administration, team leadership and practice management experience. She spent nearly a decade in the dental specialty field of Orthodontics, where she excelled as treatment coordinator and as a practice management consultant. Ashley graduated top of her class with a degree in Sociology from Chapman University. In her free time, she is a dedicated baseball mom!
