Dr. Bunting was born in Selbyville and grew up in Dagsboro, Delaware. She graduated from Indian River High School in 1982 and from the University of Delaware in 1987. She received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1991 where she also taught in the Operative Dentistry, Pathology, and Emergency departments. She served on the Delaware State Board of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene and has been featured in DELAWARE TODAY magazine multiple times as one of the Top Dentists in Delaware. Since she and her husband became aware that their son had autism, she has also been very active in autism advocacy and fundraising for groups such as Autism Delaware. Dr. Puddicombe grew up in Harrington, Delaware. After graduating from Lake Forest High School in 2000, she achieved a Magna Cum Laude as a Biology Major/ Chemistry Minor at Salisbury University in 2004. Dr. Philip O. Sels was born and raised in the Milford-Felton area and is the son of Willy Sels and Milford pediatrician, Dr. Teresa Keller. Dr. Halleh Asadpour was born in the suburbs of Houston, Texas but was raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University where she first received her B.S. in Biology in 2007 and then continued on as an "Owl" at Temple's Kornberg School of Dentistry and earned her D.M.D. degree in 2012. Dr. Shindell was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009 with a major in cell biology and molecular genetics and a minor in French studies. Amanda was born and raised in Milford, Delaware. She graduated from Milford High School in 2008. She spent many hours shadowing the hygienists of Diamond State Dentistry before attending Delaware Technical and Community College. Amanda graduated Cum Laude in 2013 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene and received the Outstanding Clinican Award for her class. She joined Diamond State Dentistry in the fall of 2013.

Drea was born and raised in Felton, Delaware. She is a 2011 graduate of Ceasar Rodney High School. Her mother, who is a nurse practitioner, inspired her to become a healthcare provider. Drea graduated Cum Laude in 2016 from Delaware Technical and Community College and joined Diamond State Dentistry later that summer.

Lacey was born and raised in Milford, Delaware. She graduated from Milford High School in 2004. She always wanted to be an oral healthcare provider and realized her goal of becoming a hygienist when she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2016. Melinda was raised in Delaware City and studied dental assisting in high school. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Delaware Technical and Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene and received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award in 1993. Hailey was born and raised in Delmar, Delaware and graduated from Delmar High School in 2017. Her childhood dentist and hygienist inspired her to pursue a career in the dental field. In 2021, Hailey graduated Summa Cum Laude from Delaware Technical and Community College with the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society Award and the Student Total Achievement Recognition Star Award. She joined Diamond State Dentistry just before the end of that same year.

Zara graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2017 and subsequently pursued a degree in Biomedical Science from Lynchburg College. She spent many hours shadowing the hygienists of Diamond State Dentistry before attending Delaware Technical Community College. Zara graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2023 and received the Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student Award for her class. She joined Diamond State Dentistry in the spring of 2023.

Born in Milford, Delaware and raised in southern Kent County, Leslie is a graduate of Woodbridge High School. She graduated from Pensacola Junior College with her degree in Dental Hygiene and also holds degrees in Commercial Art and Dental Assisting. After many years of living in the south, Leslie returned to Delaware in 2003 and became Dr. Bunting's second hygienist in 2004. Leslie retired in the spring of 2021 but continues to fill in when needed!

Sheri was born in Milford and raised in Greenwood. She graduated from Milford High School in 2001. She joined the practice in 2007. Sheri will help you understand your insurance coverage. She files all predeterminations with insurance companies so that coverage for proposed treatments is known prior to your appointments. She will also coordinate any appointments with specialists for you. She is able to do all of this with a smile!

Michelle became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1982. In Delaware since 1984, she has worked in multiple fields of dentistry and with Dr. Bunting in Dover from 1992-1997. Amy was born and raised in nearby Chestertown, Maryland, and became a resident Of Delaware in 2000. She joined Diamond State Dentistry in mid-March 2020 and worked just a week before we closed due to the Covid Pandemic. Amy always has a smile and will greet you at the front desk. She has impressed us and our patients with her unflappable optimism and grace under pressure as we have navigated all the new protocols!

Shelby was born and raised in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 2017. She currently attends Delaware Technical and Community College and aspires to become a hygienist. She joined Diamond State Dentistry in the summer of 2020. Shelby helps with insurance claims and eligibility and schedules appointments with the doctors.

Amber has lived in Miford, Delaware since she was three years old and is a 2001 graduate of Milford High School. Amber started with Dr. Bunting as a babysitter for her son. She had been an assistant for Dr. Bunting since August 2002 and helped set up this practice in August 2003. She is currently the primary assistant to Dr. Bunting.

Shannon grew up in Dover, Delaware. She found she had an interest in dentistry as a pediatric patient of Dr. Quinn and loved the idea that dentists gave people their smiles back! Subsequently, she took dental assisting at Polytech High School and graduated in 2002 and has been assisting ever since. She joined Diamond State Dentistry in 2015 and is the primary assistant to Dr. Sels.

Charlye was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended Spartanburg Methodist College on a full tennis scholarship. She started as a dental assistant in 1997. Charlye moved to Felton in 2014 and joined Diamond State Dentistry in 2016. She is the primary assistant to Dr. Puddicombe.

Madison grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 2016. While a patient of Diamond State Dentistry, she realized she had a passion for dentistry. She obtained an Assisting Certificate from Polytech and joined the practice in the summer of 2020. Madison is the primary assistant to Dr. Asadpour.

Christina was born and raised in Milford. She graduated from Milford High School in 2020. She discovered a passion for dentistry as a patient at Diamond State Dentistry and figures it runs in her blood since she is the granddaughter of the late Milford dentist, Dr. Bud Kimmel! Christina joined the practice in the fall of 2021 and is the primary assistant to Dr. Shindell.

Nicole and her family moved to Dover Air Force Base in 1996. She attended Polytech and graduated as a certified dental assistant in 2006. She was a dental assistant and receptionist for 9 years and then took a break to raise her family. Nicole is compassionate and caring and when she rejoined the work force felt as if Diamond State Dentistry was the right fit for her. She joined in the fall of 2023 and is a general dental assistant and greeter.
