Matthew E. Scarpitti, DDS, PA

Dr. Matthew Scarpitti was born in Jacksonville, FL and grew up in St. Augustine, FL. After a short time playing college football, Dr. Scarpitti earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University. He worked as a personal trainer in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Miami, FL to pursue a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University. He moved to Omaha, NE to pursue his D.D.S. degree from Creighton University. While at Creighton he provided care in every dental discipline while also rotating at the Omaha Correctional Center Ambulatory Dental Center as well as One World Clinics and Charles Drew health centers which provide care to the underprivileged within and around the Omaha areas. The unique clinical setting at Creighton gave Dr. Scarpitti the opportunity to gain exceptional experience in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics. He performed numerous surgical extractions including full mouth extractions with the delivery of interim complete dentures, 3rd molar extractions, and posterior crown lengthening surgery, all of which are normally referred to resident students in post-doctorate training. He was trained on the most up to date endodontics rotary instrumentation, as well as the more traditional techniques. He enjoys the cosmetic and restorative aspects of dentistry as well crown & bridge, implant dentistry, and complete and partial denture design and delivery. During his time in dental school, he gained an interest in forensic odontology studying under Dr. Ken Hermsen, a forensic odontologist and endodontics professor at Creighton University. He was mentored by and continues to study with Dr. Christopher Stanoscheck, a faculty member at Creighton University in the prosthodontics department which is a member of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute. Dr Scarpitti is a current member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy for Sports Dentistry, and American Society of Forensic Odontology. He is the current Vice President of the Central Florida Academy of General Dentistry. Dr Scarpitti strives to stay current on all of the latest technology and procedures. I have been a Certified Dental Assistant for 23 years. I received my certification from Orlando Vocational Technical Center. One of the things I enjoy the most about dentistry is to see how changing a patient’s smile transforms their life. I strive to do the best I can to help our patients be more comfortable here in our office. I could not imagine a better place to work. I am a wife and mother of a teenage son who gives me great joy.

I have been a dental hygienist for over 30 years and am passionate about helping my patients achieve the optimum in oral health. I am married and the proud parent of two sons. My family loves animals and has nurtured many rescue pets over the years. In my free time I love spending it outdoors.

I am our Office Administrator which includes checking patients in and out, making appointments and most importantly taking time to provide explanations and answer questions regarding billing and insurance. My goal is to make you part of our office family by making your visit a comfortable and stress-free experience. I am married and the proud mother of 1 son and 2 daughters. I can't forget my rescued dog Nova.
