His parents have been married for 35 years and Dr. Upshaw has an identical twin brother, who is also a dentist. He and his brother have two dogs they have shared since college, Yager and Bentley. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Tori their daughter and with family and friends. Dr. Upshaw enjoys movies, TV, radio, football, golf, cooking, and playing the drums. Dr. Helton comes full circle at Creekside; as a regular patient himself, he now joins the team treating his own patients. He returned to his hometown to join his own dentist, Dr. Koehler. At Columbus State, Dr. Helton was President of the University’s American Medical Student Association chapter. He was part of a mission trip to the Bahamas, where he studied epidemiology on the island. Dr. Helton enjoys being active within the community, especially the running community, and also enjoys running local races and volunteering with Brookwood’s cross-country team. Wendy Spivey is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has worked with Dr. Koehler in the Lithonia office since 2005. She was born and raised in Conyers, Georgia. Keme Toure brings several years dental assisting experience to the Creekside team. She trained at Everest Institute, in Duluth Georgia, where she received a Certificate of Dental Assisting (CDA). Later, she attended Gwinnett Technical College, where she obtained her Certification of Expanded Duties. Currently, Keme is in school for dental hygiene. In her spare time, Keme loves spending time with her daughter, friends, and family.

Abby Young joined Creekside Dentistry in June 2014 as our Insurance Coordinator. She is currently studying at Georgia Gwinnett College, pursuing a Biology degree.
