Dr. Frericks grew up in Dayton, Ohio with his four brothers and three sisters. Dr. Frericks attended the University of Dayton and moved on to Northwestern University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. After graduating Northwestern University, Dr. Frericks taught full time at the Northwesterns Dental School until he joined Dr. Joseph Schwarz in private practice in 1983. Dr. Schwarz grew up in Deerfield, Illinois, the oldest of five children. Dr. Schwarz went to the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1988. After practicing dental hygiene for two years, Dr. Schwarz decided to return to the University of Iowa and she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994. JoAnn is originally from Wilton, Iowa where she grew up and went on to the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. JoAnn has been in Chicago since 1991 and has been with our practice since 1997. JoAnn lives on the north side of Chicago and lives with her musician husband, Steve, her son Zachary and two black cats. JoAnn enjoys exercising, reading and traveling the world.

Karyn grew up in northwest Indiana, just outside of Chicago. Karyn received her dental hygiene degree from Indiana University Northwest in 2003 where she was the class historian and graduated with honors. In her spare time Karyn enjoys working out and exploring the many restaurants and neighborhoods of Chicago.

Ashley grew up in Munster, Indiana. She graduated from Munster High School and went on to Indiana University to receive her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. . Ashley now lives in Chicago with her rescue boxer mix, Althea. She enjoys reading and taking Althea to the dog beach in her free time.

Jaime grew up on the southeast side of Chicago where she graduated St. Francis de Sales High School. Jaime has also attended Morraine Valley Community College to promote her passion for art, and the Robert Morris University to brush up on her computer skills. Jaime joined our dental team in 1998 as a dental assistant and has since moved on to be our friendly and out going receptionist. Jaime enjoys yoga, art projects and traveling with family and friends.

Natalia grew up in the Elmwood Park area of Chicago and attended high school at the Christian Liberty Academy and three years of college at Wright Community College. Natalia lives in Northlake with her husband, Hermy, two kids, Dominic and Valentina, and their Jack Russel, Sadie and beloved Basset Hound, Riley. She enjoys spending time with her kids and reading
