Ed Dye Family Dentistry

Dr. Dye has always wanted to be a dentist. His journey started at the age of 4, when he fell and traumatized his face on concrete, fracturing a tooth. After receiving excellent dental care, he started the "dream" of being a dentist. From that point on he never stopped replying to the question of "What do you want to be when you grow up?" with "I want to be a dentist." Dr. Dye grew up in Cedar Rapids from 1st grade and on. He earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 24 and graduated from Jefferson Hi...Read Moregh School. Then he attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon where he earned a degree in Biology and played 3 years of basketball. Dr Dye graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2008 and reached his dream of dentistry. For 8.5 years he practiced at River Hills Community Health Center in Ottumwa, IA. That is where he met his wife and had 3 wonderful children. After gaining a tremendous amount of experience, he decided to move his family back home. Dr. Dye purchased Dr. Brown's practice in Jan of 2017. He enjoys getting to know the practice's existing patients and welcoming new ones to the clinic. He lives only 10 minutes from the practice in the Linn-Mar District of Cedar Rapid and is excited to continue his dream of dentistry while being at home. Read Less
