Dr. Joe received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He also received his Bachelor of Science with honors in Exercise Science from the University of Iowa. Dr. Joe was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa where he attended Hempstead High School. He is married to Hannah (Meyer) Lenz, a native of Ely, Iowa, who is an elementary teacher at Bowman Woods Elementary in the Linn Mar Community School District. He feels that each patient should be treated as family with honesty, respect and compassion. Dr. Joe believes patients should be given all their dental treatment options so they can make an informed decision on what is best for their personal care. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Joe is passionate about continuing education and implementing new technology in the dental office to improve patient experiences. He is a member in good standing with the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association and the Linn County Dental Society in which he is a current board member. When he is not creating beautiful smiles in the office, Dr. Joe enjoys being involved in the community. He is a member of the Marion/East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club, coaches youth ice hockey at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena and gives dental presentations throughout the community. Dr. Mueller received his undergraduate degree in biology from Central College in Pella, Iowa. He then went on to receive his dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics.Dr. Mueller enjoys rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes, St. Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoys golfing in the summer, biking, reading, watching movies, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Karen has been in the medical field for over 20 years as a transcriptionist and recently switched her focus to the dental world.
