Dr. Amy Akasheh Dentist Read Bio

I had an interest in dentistry after being a patient in my sister’s dental chair. I attended the University of Detroit Mercy for my undergraduate studies in biology. I went on to graduate with my doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (Go Blue!). I strive to stay up to date on the latest dental literature and am always excited to learn more about the newest technologies. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy hiking, boating and spending time with family.

In 2005 I graduated as a dental hygienist from Kellogg Community College. I still love my career choice and all the people I get to meet and help. I am certified to administer local anesthesia and I take pride in making each patient feel comfortable during their appointments with me. My husband and I have two children that are both hockey and lacrosse players, so most of our time is spent at games or practices or just hanging out at home or outside.

My husband and I have two amazing children Alexis and Ryan, and we enjoy camping and bowling. I feel that my outgoing personality helps put our patients more at ease when they are in the dental chair.

" Best technology around, kind/helpful staff. Also took advantage of their NEW DENTAL SAVINGS PLAN since I no longer have any dental insurance. This is perfect. They take care of moms dental needs too!
