For Dr. Bob Maley, practicing dentistry in his St. Paul neighborhood office is more than a profession; it’s living his dream. “My business, my family, and my community all come together in this place. Patients are friends and neighbors. It goes way beyond taking care of people’s teeth,” he says. We’re a neighborhood business. That’s the best part for me.” Dr. Maley grew up in Minneapolis and moved across the river to get his undergraduate degree at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He’s lived in the Highland Park area of St. Paul ever since. He started his dental career serving bigger, corporate clinics which gave him exposure to complex cases, multiple specialties, and preventive care research and treatment. But he always dreamed of running his own clinic, where he could assemble a dynamite dental team and build relationships with his patients in a friendly, neighborhood setting. With the opening of his new Highland Park office, he’s realizing his dream every day. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Maley enjoys hanging out with his family, biking, fly fishing, and all things outdoors, especially around Minnesota’s North Shore and the North Woods of Wisconsin. He also volunteers his time through his parish and has traveled to Peru for several weeks in the past years to share his gifts with the poor of Chimbote. He lives in Highland Park with his wife and two kids. He earned his undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he was awarded a scholarship by the faculty for Professionalism and Excellence in Patient Care. Outside of work, you can find him running and biking the trails along the Mississippi with his wife or occasionally working at his favorite local business, Thomas Liquors. Creating comfort and understanding and caring for her patients’ needs are what make Karmen love being a hygienist. Her 23+ years of experience, gentle nature, and great communication skills help patients feel comfortable and confident in her care. With five children age 15 on up, she loves caring for her family and enjoys her time in the garden, both at home and up north at the “tree house.”

She makes her patients feel like family by welcoming them with a smile. Ceng's specialty is ensuring the whole process runs smoothly for our patients, from making appointments to walking out with a healthy smile. Her associate degree in office management, tech-savviness, and ability to speak Hmong make her a valuable asset to the team. Ceng worked with Dr. Jennen for nearly three years before joining Dr. Bob Maley Family Dentistry in 2015.

The aspect of Stefanie’s nine-plus years in dentistry she enjoys most is building relationships with patients. She's been known to hold "dance contests," tell jokes and play games during kids' appointments, and they LOVE her. Serving alongside Dr. Maley through every procedure, she loves getting to know patients and making sure they’re comfortable and satisfied with their visit. Outside the office, Stefanie loves spending time with her daughter, being outside, and cooking.
