James River Dental

Kaelin, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, has been practicing dentistry since 2003. He is a proud member of the ADA, AAID, MDA and the GSDS. Outside of dentistry, Kaelin spends his time with his three sons, Donovan, Drew and Daniel. Kaelin is also an avid runner, bicyclist, and swimmer. With his experience and dedication, it is no surprise that 417 Magazine has voted Dr. Kaelin “Top Dentist” for many consecutive years.

Shana has been working with Dr. Kaelin since graduating from OTC in 2005 as a certified dental assistant with expanded functions certification. She took an interest in dentistry after having braces at age 16. Before that, she says she had very crooked teeth and never smiled without covering her mouth. Nicole began with James River Dental in 2011 after working with Dr. Kaelin at another dental office in Springfield for many years. She has certifications in nitrous-oxide monitoring, CPR and expanded functions dental assisting. Nicole enjoys working with people and getting to know her patients. She grew up in Bolivar, MO and loves to spend time cooking and shopping, when she’s not busy keeping Dr. Kaelin on-schedule here at the office

Sally relocated to the Springfield area many years ago because of her husband’s job as lead pilot for St. John’s Hospital, (now Mercy Hospital). She earned her dental hygiene degree from Wichita State in 1975 and joined our clinics in 1999. Cleaning teeth is just one of Sally’s many talents; she is also a skilled dog trainer.
