Today, Frankel Dentistry is one of the best dental practices in the Toledo area, offering the latest technology and advancements in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry as well as aesthetic dentistry. While Dr. Frankel spends a majority of his time dedicating his life to his practice and the well-being of his patients, he is also a dedicated father and husband. During his weekends he enjoys spending time with his family. In fact, he takes much pride in his kids and his wife, Nikki, who is an ER nurse at Toledo Hospital. When younger, Dr. Frankel was an excellent tennis player, achieving a Western Ranking for junior tennis. Although he still plays tennis, in his spare time, Dr. Frankel is an avid golfer who has a handicap of 8. He also enjoys supporting local based sporting teams including the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Pistons; the Cleveland Browns; and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Dr. Frankel is proud of his local, Toledo roots and thankful for the opportunities given to him by his father. When asked why she decided to study dentistry, Dr. Amber Puhl answers very simply, "There is nothing better than helping people in your community get a healthy smile." Raised in Delta, Ohio, Dr. Puhl received her bachelors of science degree from the University of Dayton, majoring in biology. After graduating, she attended dental school at the Ohio State University and graduated in 2006. Before she graduated she came into contact with Dr. Frankel and was hired as an associate dentist. Immediately, Dr. Puhl loved the philosophy of Dr. Frankel's practice. She looked up to him and admired the quality of care Frankel Dentistry provided for their patients. Therefore, in 2008 she decided to become a long-term partner with Dr. Frankel and bought into the practice, creating Frankel and Puhl Dentistry in Maumee. Family has always been one of Dr. Puhl's priorities. In her spare time she is busy chasing around her young twins and spending time with her husband and family. Dr. Rebecca Gofman grew up in Westport, CT and moved to Ohio to join her husband who recently joined the faculty at BGSU. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development with a focus on Child Health from Tufts University in Medford, MA. Dr. Gofman always had an interest in Pediatric Dentistry and spent a large portion of her time during her undergraduate degree working with children in different capacities. She completed over 900 hours of community service through Jumpstart Americo...Read Morerps, serving as a Corps Member and a Team Leader, bringing literacy and phonetic awareness to underserved preschools in Somerville, MA. She also worked closely with the Pediatric Department at Tufts Dental School to make the pediatric clinics more child friendly. Dr. Gofman graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Honos Civicus Society for Civic Engagement. Dr. Gofman went on to receive her DMD from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. During her time at UConn, she continued to participate in local community service events as well as a 10 day dental service trip to Honduras. Although she has always had a passion for working with children, as Dr. Gofman began to gain clinical experience, she soon realized that she loved interacting with her adult patients as well. She made the decision to pursue General Dentistry so that she could treat both adult and pediatric patients. There is nothing she loves more than building a relationship with her patients and helping to make them feel as comfortable as possible. After dental school, Dr. Gofman went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. During her residency, she gained experience treating routine dental patients, as well as managing dental emergencies and medically complex patients both in the inpatient hospital setting and in the Emergency Room. In addition, Dr. Gofman completed medical rotations in Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, and Emergency Medicine. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner and continues to take Dental Continuing Education courses so she can provide the best possible care for her patients. Dr. Gofman is so excited to be bringing her experience to Frankel Dentistry! In her free time, Dr. Gofman is an avid baker and loves to get adventurous in the kitchen. She and her husband are true foodies and love to travel and try new restaurants. She also loves to be outside and enjoy the nice weather when possible. Dr. Uveges was selected to represent the State of Ohio as the Team Ambassador in Washington, D.C. for the Relay for Life National event. Additionally, he was selected to represent Ohio at the LiveStrong Cancer event in Austin, Texas. As far as his involvement in the community, Dr. Uveges served many years as the Relay for Life-Erie County Chairman. He helped in founding the Uveges Genetic Cancer through the North Coast Cancer Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
