Dr. Carpenter grew up happily in Henry County and plans to happily grow old here, too - Which is why he came back to the area after graduating Magna Cum Laude (third in his class!) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1996. By offering cosmetic, implant, sedation and neuromuscular dentistry, he knew he could drastically improve his patients' lives. Dr. Carpenter understood the right education was essential to providing this type of advanced care. He looked at several post-graduate training facilities and found the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) provided exceptional education in cosmetic and neuromuscular care. To date, Dr. Carpenter has successfully completed the majority of LVI's curriculum and attends over 100 hours of continuing education a year - five times the state requirement. Dr. Amy Augustine, known as Dr. Amy to her pediatric patients, is a board-certified pediatric dentist specializing in dental care for infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adolescents. In addition to years of pediatric-specific dental training, she has expertise in behavior guidance and a gift to communicate with children in an effective, gentle, and non-threatening manner. Dr. Augustine is the only board-certified pediatric dentist serving a six-county area, including Fulton, Henry, Defiance, Paulding, Putnam, and Williams Counties. Prior to joining Dental Excellence, Dr. Augustine practiced at a pediatric dental office in Bowling Green, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Spanish from Case Western Reserve University and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Augustine completed her General and Pediatric Residencies at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Augustine went into dentistry out of a love for both healthcare and art. Her career gives her the opportunity to use her talents to help children get the care they need and a beautiful smile. Dr. Augustine lives in Maumee with her husband, Kenneth, and her three year-old daughter, Audrey. She enjoys art, biking, walking, movies, games, and playing outside with her family. Dr. Augustine grew up in Archbold, attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he later served as adjunct faculty overseeing fourth-year dental students.
