Alder & Mitchell Family Dentistry

Dr. Alder grew up locally, graduating from Sunset High School in 1972. He graduated cum laude in 1978 from Brigham Young University, and with honors from the School of Dentistry at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1982. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1997. Dr. Alder and his wife Elaine have been married 38 years and are the parents of four daughters and nine granddchildren. Dr. Mitchell grew up in the Beaverton, Oregon area where he graduated from Sunset High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University where his love for both dentistry and United States history grew. It was during this time that Dr. Mitchell met his wife Amy. Following graduation, Dr. Mitchell moved back to Portland, Oregon to pursue his dental degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University. After graduating with honors, Dr. Mitchell was commissioned as a Cap...Read Moretain in the United States Army and moved his family to Fort Drum, New York. Here he had the privilege of providing dental care to the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division. During his military service, Dr. Mitchell's excitement for dentistry and professional growth continued. However, he missed providing dental care to children and families. After several years of service to his country, he and his family decided it was time to come back to the beautiful Northwest and bring their great experiences from the Northeast with them. He started working with Dr. Alder in June of 2007 and has enjoyed this unique partnership ever since. He is pleased to be providing care to all ages once again.
