MEET DR. ROSS Dr. Peter Ross is an exceptionally trained pediatric dental specialist and was the first in Lancaster County, PA to become board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ross was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society as a result of his dedication to the highest standard of care in dentistry. After earning his dental degree, he attended a pediatric dental residency program at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, exhibiting his leadership and commitment to patient care by serving as chief resident during the final year. Today, Dr. Ross and his wife, Louise Kirkpatrick Ross, are proud residents of Manheim Township, Lancaster County. PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS To continually deliver outstanding care to patients and their parents and remain abreast of the latest in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Ross actively participates in a number of esteemed professional organizations: American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, diplomate and member American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, fellow and member American Dental Association Pennsylvania Dental Association Lancaster County Dental Society Committed to leadership, Dr. Ross currently serves as the president of the Pennsylvania Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and as a consultant to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Dental Society Fifth District along with the Lancaster County Dental Society and served as a Delegate for the Annual Session of the Pennsylvania Dental Society. In addition to being on staff at Hershey Medical Center and Lancaster General Hospital, Dr. Ross is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Penn State Hershey Medical School. He is also a noted assistant clinical professor of pediatric dentistry at Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. HONORS AND ACHIEVEMENTS Dr. Ross is renowned for his dedication and distinguished service to both Lancaster County and the dental community. In 2008, he was honored with the H.K. Cooper Award, an acknowledgment regarded as Lancaster County Dental Society's most prestigious award for service and achievement in the dental profession. Along with his impeccable career in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Ross is an Army retired Colonel, having served as a past IMA Army Reserve Commander with the Pacific and Southeast Regional Dental Commands for 37 years.
