In May of 2005 he received a Masters degree from the department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research in the College of Education at the University of Memphis. He has lectured nationally on various topics for dental professionals and dental students and continues to study and write on topics concerning the emotional and physical well-being of those involved in the healthcare professions. He also has lectured on Dental Sleep Medicine and the use of Oral Appliances to treat Sleep Apnea to medical professionals. In his leisure time, his hobbies include; woodworking, home improvement projects, art, golf, playing the guitar, fly-tying and fly-fishing and traveling with his wife.
