Dr. Heyri Yeom, our Board Certified Periodontist, was born in South Korea where she developed her lifelong passion for learning. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious Seoul National University in 1993. After graduation, Dr. Yeom continued her post doctorate education specializing in Periodontology at the Seoul National University Dental Hospital, where she completed a rigorous three year residency program. After completing her residency she continued her career at Samsung Medical Center and Asan Medical Center in the Periodontal Fellowship program for three additional years. Dr. Yeom’s passion for advanced learning eventually lead her to the United States where she pursued her second post doctorate residency program through the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where upon graduation in 2005 she also earned her second Master's degree. In 2007, she became recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This is an honor only awarded by the certification board to a small number of specialists that has demonstrated the highest levels of clinical knowledge and skill. We are fortunate that she has decided to call the Pacific Northwest home and brought her expertise to our community. She is an expert in all spectrums of Periodontal and Implant related surgeries, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through education, gentle treatment methods and state of the art technology.
