These measures are apparent throughout our office-- from our friendly, respectful staff to the iPods available to patients undergoing treatment. We are committed to practices that are beneficial for our greater environment. Our office is dedicated to the use of environmentally sound procedures and practices whenever possible. We utilize steam-based instrument sterilization, which contains no harmful chemicals and have adopted a special filtration system to allow environmentally sound disposal of old mercury fillings. These measures help prevent water pollution. We are also dedicated to conserving our natural resources through the use of digital patient charting, which reduces the use of paper. Our office employs the use of digital imaging, a technology that eliminates toxic x-ray development chemicals and exposes our patients to 75 to 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays. In addition, we utilize barriers made of recycled plastic, use recycled paper and soy-based inks for printing our materials and light our office with energy efficient T8 and MR16 lighting.
