Dr. Dominick Curalli grew up in Spokane and received his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University. He obtained his dental degree in 2005 at the University of Washington in Seattle and immediately after went on active duty with the U.S. Army. In his four years as a military dentist, Dr. Curalli spent one year completing an Advanced General Dentistry training program and three years in the 4th Infantry Division during which he deployed to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2014 Dr. Curalli started Smile Ballard to be closer to home. He enjoys creating healthy smiles that look and feel great. He has vast experience treating dental emergencies and, in the past, has volunteered his time at the UW Dental Urgent Care Clinic as a part-time instructor to dental students, as well as at the Swedish Community Specialty Clinic, which provides pro bono dentistry to those in need. Dr. Curalli lives with his wife and 2 sons in Ballard. He enjoys all things outdoors, especially running and skiing. In the past he has run both the New York and Chicago Marathons as part of Team CdLS, helping raise over $50,000 for the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation. Read Less

Dr. Katherine (Merritt) Allen grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and has recently moved to Seattle. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate studies in neuroscience and then completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Congratulations are in order for Lyndsay! Lyndsay has been with Smile Ballard since the purchase of the practice from Dr. Anderson 8 years ago and is the longest tenured hygienist! We are sad to announce that Lyndsay will be retiring. Lyndsay will now be a stay-at-home mother and looks forward to spending more time with her growing family. Get to know our Patient Coordinator, Daniel! Daniel has a passion for helping others and as our patient coordinator he never fails to put a smile on patients' faces. Outside of Smile Ballard, you can find Daniel spending time with family and friends, unwinding in nature, at the movies or working on sewing projects!

Stephanie loves being an assistant because she meets new people everyday, and help create great smiles! Stephanie has three dogs that she loves to hike with, she loves doing makeup and being artistic. On the weekends you can find her playing Call of Duty and hanging out with friends.

Welcome our newest dental assistant Marchelle. She has been in the dental field for over 22 years. She became a certified dental assistant through DANB in 2013. Marchelle has a true passion for dentistry and enjoys all the changes and challanges that dentistry has to offer. Marchelle enjoys volunteer work, Riding bikes, arts and crafts, hiking and spending time with her daughter.
